Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul musician, writer and actress. Her awards include the Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are just a few of the numerous awards she's received. She was also named for an Academy Award. Andra Day, a skilled singer-songwriter with roots in gospel music and blues, who also has a flair for modern times is a strong performer and a talented writer. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records. It featured the track Rise Up that has since become an internationally renowned popular song for those involved in social movements. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album on the famous jazz musician's life and career, came out in the year. This year she also appeared in a biopic of Holiday's life The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak, an American actor. Her debut came in the film Halloween as Allyson, after appearing in several TV shows such as Orange Is the New Black (Orange Is the New black) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue), Blue Bloods as well as Orange is the New Black.
