Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. She was encouraged by her parents, a dentist, and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to follow her love of the theatre. This contrasted with her previous desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she loved monkeys. Her fame grew as a child actress quickly and enjoyed enormous success. Before she began to pursue her acting career, Tautou took part in Jeunes Premiers which was a French show on TV that focuses on talent that was sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her early years, but now dissociates herself from her childhood. Along with her acting career, she pursued a modeling career. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited the collection of her photographs with the heading Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on celebrity and fame, and turns the camera on those who scrutinized her when she exploded to stardom in the film Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first major role starring as a lead character in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie won international acclai film box office successes and was recognized at award ceremonies across the globe. It's also the biggest French language film to ever be released on the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many film productions ranging that ranged from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
