Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. If she attended an event at school and was given the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 the young girl started to feel more confident. The singer not only gained confidence through the audition however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. In the year 22 she graduated at the Julliard School of New York. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with the role of The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. The following year, she appeared on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. As a well-known singer, she has also recorded songs and plays. As an activist, she works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
